Lydia Ford International Ministries Food Pantry
Service Description
Lydia Ford International Ministries food pantry named "Danielle Ford-Geter in honor of her late daughter, provides Thanksgiving and Christmas groceries to needy families. Each family receives a turkey and groceries to go with a Thanksgiving meal. For Christmas, we provide groceries for a pasta meal, along with a gift card for the individual to purchase the meat of their choice. Recently the Lord has blessed us to be able to partner with Pastor Penny Tate, the CEO of LEO Ministries. LEO Stands for “Let’s Evangelize Outreach.” Pastor Penny also has a food pantry that she oversaw and has recently relocated to our 3 Barnard Lane suite in Bloomfield. She will be sharing her food distribution with us, so that we can give out food not just on holidays but twice monthly. Stay tuned for the days and time of the Food Share Operation. We also worked with The Street Church. Pastor Bryan Bywater and Rev. Cynthia are the overseers along with other pastors in the area. Our ministry provides sandwiches, snacks, gloves, scarves, mittens, and hygiene kits for the homeless and those who live in shelters in the neighborhood. Many testimonies of salvation have be noted and recorded during times of service and food distribution. Additionally, Pastor Ford has provided a laptop for her mentee, Elder Helen Butaki, Daily Bread Devotionals, a set of Women of Color Devotionals, Bible lessons, hats, BFF shirts, and hygiene kits as well. Pastor Ford is not only the mentor to Elder Helen, but the women’s support group started by Helen refer to her as their spiritual mother. We are so proud of the work that this tiny ministry is doing both in Bloomfield, CT and in Wake Forest, NC.
